The Future of EDGEPoS

When Henderson Technology asked their group of IT Forum Retailers for the top five things they wished for to manage upcoming trends in retail, the list was as follows: manage peak volumes, enhance customer experience, reduce customer wait time, achieve higher customer footfall and manage overstaffing.

Listening to these needs, and reacting to the trends, Henderson Technology is proud to have launched the following in 2018 – EDGEPoS Queue Buster Tablet Till (a static Till, a Queue Buster Till, a Multiuser Back Office and a Portal for Analytics), EDGEPoS Self-Checkout (a simple but brilliant idea that allows your existing lane to be switched to Self-Checkout mode when not in use by a cashier), EDGEPoS Mobile Payments, namely BPme and Zapper integration and lastly, EDGEPoS collaborations, such as Azpiral Loyalty, Mettler Toledo and ADC link.

Reacting to the growing trend in convenience and food-to-go, Henderson Technology launched an EDGEPoS Café Module that bolts onto their EDGEPoS Retail Software Solution.  EDGEPoS Café means that you can now benefit from a solution that has been adapted for Café and Takeaway environments.  The system allows for sit in and take away service with separation for kitchen printing.

And closer to their roots in Northern Ireland, Henderson Technology launched its ‘Customer Wi-Fi’ to all of their independent retailers.  More and more types of businesses, from fast-food restaurants to convenience retailers, are investing in free customer Wi-Fi.  For many independent retailers, it’s simple– offering Wi-Fi helps gain customer loyalty and even increase sales – and employees can benefit too.  That’s why Henderson Technology has teamed up with B4B Telecoms to offer their retailers this service.
